I am nowhere close to my personal journey of weight loss, but with time have picked up the truth of weight loss.

After trying to lose weight for years, having tried every diet in the book, religiously drinking concoctions guaranteed to lose weight, going cold turkey on several addictive food items, I have tried most of the tips and tricks for not weeks, not for months but even years. I realized that the only way to get out of these ephemeral weight loss guarantees, to deal with my extensive food disorders is a sincere effort.
How do I define sincere effort? First aspect of it is investing years into it rather than expecting results for short term effort. Even if these kinds of efforts do make you lose weight, you won’t put it off for long. It will come back and break your heart again! Weight loss to be honest, is a lifelong commitment to a life of healthy eating and regular exercise and the only way to do that is to make it ‘play’. Create feeling better, healthy mind and healthy body, a direct association with healthy lifestyle.
When you come across lapses, do not feel like giving up or throwing abuses at oneself but grow your mind to deal with it. Deal with the fact that you made a boo-boo, cite what made you that vulnerable that you felt the need to binge again and forgive yourself with a promise to a better attempt at handling with the crisis at hand, the next time.
Second aspect of this sincere effort is moderation. Deprive yourself neither of any group of food nor of any kind of junk food, irrespective of how unhealthy and fattening it is. You can eat everything in moderate quantity because as it’s said, excess of anything is bad.
The third aspect is a simple addition and subtraction rule- add healthy and subtract unhealthy from any meal. If you seem to be having planned an unhealthy meal, take a plate of salad or a bowl of soup with it. It will not only fill your enormous hunger but provide some nutrition to your body. Fourth aspect of sincere effort is reducing your diet gradually. If you eat junk food every day, make it 5 days a week, if you consume it thrice a week, make it two. This way you won’t suffer a great loss in your dependence of food, you still might be unhealthily leaning on food like me, but a little less.

In this sincere attempt, do not forget to exercise, most preferably some outdoor games. I do not get opportunities like this so I must, but hate to, depend on the old school walking. Your form of exercise can however change gradually with age. I was at my healthiest when I used to play basketball with my friends, then the burden of studies came and I had to simply rely on walking but I desperately wish to again go to play, in clubs or fields.
And until you see some considerable difference, just listen to this song of Jessia.
