Life is tough my darling ,So are you
Gender roles have always defined mother as the nurturer and father as someone who provides for everyone. And as a gesture to thank them for their selfless strive to continuously care for us in every way possible, we dedicate a day in their honour. We celebrate Father’s Day in order to convey our heartfelt gratitude to the selfless fathers who have put their families even before their own selves. However, is Father’s Day always gender specific? This father’s day let us thank the mothers, who have taken up the role of a mother and a father, caring for and providing their families with everything they can and everything that they are. There are mothers who are out their, taking on the world with all their might to protect and provide for their families, there are mothers who have single handedly and beautifully fulfilled the duties of both a mother and a father. Single mothers have gracefully taken up the role of protecting their families against any odds that life throws at them and striving hard just to see their families smile. There is never a bigger warrior than a mother and the a fierce protector than that of a father. And when you find these two in a single person, you ought to thank them, you ought to respect them and you ought to celebrate them. This Father’s Day, let us thank all the mothers who have been both fathers and mothers, who have aced every duty with grace and who have loved us more than anyone ever could. This Father’s day let us take a moment to appreciate all these heroes, who are breaking stereotypes brilliantly and who are not bound by the gender norms, and who are defining a new normal.
To all the mother’s out there, Happy Father’s Day!
